Community Staff Nurse

Our Community Nursing Teams in the Poole North Locality are looking for motivated, enthusiastic Band 5 Community Staff Nurses to join their team. Applicants can be newly qualified or experienced, with full training and support offered. We seek dynamic, self‑motivated individuals who wish to provide a high standard of nursing care to people in their own homes.
We have both full-time and part-time positions available. The part-time post is 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility on hours. Part‑time applicants may be considered for a job‑sharing arrangement to fulfil a full‑time role. Post holders may be required to work flexibly to meet service needs, covering weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata.
Successful candidates must be able to drive and have access to a car.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the Trust. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
Visa sponsorship for this role is not available. Applicants must hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.

Key responsibilities include:
* Wound care
* Palliative care
* IV drug administration
* Medication and injection administration
* Diabetes management
* Other diverse clinical skills as required

Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills and Training
* Membership of the relevant Professional Body
* Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent assessors training
* Evidence of recent professional development in an up‑to‑date portfolio
* Knowledge and understanding of Trust Strategy relevant to role
Job Specific Experience
* Supervised experience gained during clinical placements
* Ability to mentor students or supervise other junior staff
* Experience of contributing to the management of change
* Demonstrable knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions in area of practice
* Experience of developing programmes of care for an individual or groups of patients/clients and providing advice
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively
* Recent previous experience within a comparable role
* Experience of demonstrating duties to junior staff
* Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff

* Evidence of demonstrating the Trust's values and behaviours
* Able to communicate effectively at different levels of the organisation and with staff, patient/service users, visitors or external organisations both verbally and in writing in the exchange of complex, sensitive or contentious information which may require the use of negotiating and/or persuasive skills
