Wood Process & Energy is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to support our project with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL), based in Hessle on a contract basis.
It has been 18 months since Centrica Energy Storage+ and Wood entered into a collaborative partnership to deliver projects to support Centrica Energy Storage with their near & long-term strategic objectives.
Responsible for providing subject matter input and consultancy in support of project and client requirements. Primary focus on the continuous running of equipment and machinery alongside production and operations. Using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), oversees routine operations and/or maintenance and organises repairs. Involved involved with control and monitoring devices and technology-enabled systems.
May improve production facilities, reduce breakdowns and associated costs and develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. A key aspect of this role is ensuring client satisfaction and requirements are met. A significant degree of planning and resource management, both people and equipment is required.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
1. Provide subject matter discipline input and consultancy on the bill of materials and work scopes of work as per project and client requirements
2. Provide input and consultancy on maintenance, reliability and asset management work scopes, which may include the following specific activities: maintenance planning development; critical spares reviews; maintenance data builds; data cleansing; reliability, availability and maintainability modelling; and criticality assessment
3. Provide technical leadership on assigned maintenance data build, cleansing or optimisation projects
4. Undertake reviews and peer assistance in accordance with the management system review process and checking procedures
5. Review and approve assigned deliverables
6. Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
7. Provide consultancy technical support to the wider business
8. Ensure that Wood delivery methodologies incorporate industry-recognised best practices
9. Provide consultancy specific input to scope definition and execution for business development proposals and new project work scopes
10. Project management for equipment overhauls & replacements, creating business cases & driving cost and schedule performance
11. Designs maintenance and or/ production strategies, procedures and methods
12. Oversees routine maintenance work and responds to equipment faults
13. Diagnose breakdown problems
14. Oversees the delivery of new parts and makes sure equipment is working correctly, including factory & site acceptance testing
15. Ensures quality of delivery
16. Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
17. Works with the supply chain as appropriate to procure fixtures, fittings or components
18. Oversees, monitors and controls maintenance costs
19. Deals with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
20. Committed to ensuring the highest standard of health and safety delivery in line with policies and procedures
21. Writes maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
22. Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns

Who we are looking for:
27. Minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
28. Maintenance data builds and data optimization projects
29. Development and application of qualitative risk-based maintenance tools
30. Maintenance, repairs, and spares strategy development
31. Best practice in asset management through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
32. Project management experience
