Cover Supervisor

We’re currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to join Secondary Schools in Hartlepool on a long- or short-term basis starting in September. We have both day-to-day supply and long-term opportunities available, offering flexible work to suit your availability and career goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced education professionals, or individuals with experience working with young people in a classroom or similar setting.
Responsibilities
1. Supervising whole classes in the absence of the classroom teacher
2. Delivering pre-planned lesson materials and instructions
3. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
4. Supporting students to remain engaged with their learning
5. Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and behaviour
6. Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
7. Assisting with general school duties where required
Requirements
8. Experience working with young people or within an education setting is desirable
9. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
10. Confident communication and interpersonal skills
11. Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
12. A positive, proactive, and professional attitude
13. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
14. Right to work in the UK
