Our Team
The fraud team is one of our fastest‑growing practices, covering a range of insurance and non‑insurance fraud disputes, with an emphasis on motor, EL/PL and organised frauds. Our lawyers work closely with intelligence analysts and understand the role of technology in fighting fraud.
Role
We are looking to recruit a Paralegal/Litigation Executive with relevant motor fraud experience gained in a defendant firm who can demonstrate excellent knowledge of the litigation process and run their own case load of files. Experience with MIB claims would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with all members of the team, predominantly acting on behalf of a range of insurance companies and self‑insured commercial organisations.
* Run a full caseload of motor fraud claims and/or litigated motor personal injury claims.
* Carry out investigations with live defenders, take witness statements, and review and interpret medical records and reports.
* Identify information requirements and secure required documentation/evidence from claimant representatives.
* Adhere to reporting and reserving requirements in relation to different client SLAs.
* Manage files, including initial reports, updates and correspondence.
* Attend court and pre‑trial meetings, and adhere to court timetables.
* Draft all legal documents and client advice.
* Deal with interlocutory proceedings, CMCs and client meetings.
* Support marketing and business development activity with the team and the wider Clyde & Co casualty group.
About You
You will be working within a team of legal professionals in an engaging and friendly environment. You should have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work well under pressure. You will be focused on delivering a highly professional service to clients, including compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements. Previous experience of managing your own caseload is required, and experience of personal injury litigation would be desirable.
