With the future arrival of the asset, the Operated team is growing to prepare for future operations. The position is reporting to SOV mechanical team lead, but will be assigned direct support of the facility through the current phase of hand over from the project team through readiness for operation and final on station hook up, commissioning and initial operations.
This is a rate opportunity to support a new asset startup and operations. The position will involve working though the project punch list and initial operational issues. This will require a person with extensive operational experience, with a pragmatic and autonomous capability to resolve issues. Will be providing assurance to the project team in setting up the SAP maintenance plans for operations.
As the asset is handed over to Operations will be accountable for understanding the discipline specific impacts on current operations vendors, companies, contracts and amending as required.
In addition to the role, the applicant will also be part of the SOV mechanical team, providing senior engineer involvement, leadership, peer review and mentoring to the other SOV mechanical team members.

4. The purpose of the position is to provide technical expertise supporting all activities related to Mechanical Static Equipment Engineering & Maintenance
5. You will focus on asset integrity and reliability, in line with Mechanical Static equipment long term strategies, the Asset Reference Plan (ARP), Facility Maintenance
6. Reference Plan (MRP) and the IAP
7. Provide support to the team lead in managing all central maintenance contracts
8. Maintain a very strong functional link to TAO and SBO
9. Expected to be a TA2
What's the role?
10. Employ adaptive thinking to provide technical solutions to the Operated Facilities with complex systems to provide best technical and economically robust solutions
11. Responsible for Mechanical Static facility maintenance strategies
12. Accountable for the Review of all discipline MOC or Deviations
13. Support the set up and lead in RBI inspection program development. Management of Change, Management of deviations, Risk Based Inspection
14. Responsible for scoping corrective maintenance and accountable for preparation and execution
15. Responsible of TAR and Outages scoping on Mechanical Static equipment and support assurance of Facility team execute scope
16. Responsible for reviewing and approving equipment repair / spares procurement quotes & ensuring quality and be cost efficient
17. Assure the FIT4 tool is up to date with all threats to discipline equipment
18. Assure a plan is in place to maximise equipment availability
19. Maintain bad actor list and assure of execution of any correctives in a 365-day window.
20. Responsible for the facility Mechanical Static critical spares strategy and stocking
21. Participate and contribute to procurement, engineering, HAZOP, HAZID, Management of Threats and Opportunities, Maintenance, Operation, temporary and permanent repairs, Fitness for Service assessment for all scopes which are relevant to static equipment, piping and valves
22. Review, analyse and direct actions based on inspection results
23. Manage specialist vendors and contractors
24. Various degradation mechanisms of static equipment and applicable repair methods
25. Fitness for service assessment as per API 579
26. Static equipment and piping calculations using PVElite and CAESAR II software programs
27. Specification of valves
Key responsibilities include:
28. Responsible for interfacing with Project team and taking the asset to a ready for operations and first oil state
29. Responsible for start-up requirements and review of Pre-Commissioning procedures for new and existing equipment
30. MRP/Planning & Delivery
31. Accountable for successful execution of discipline activities per IAP Plan for the next 365 days
32. Responsible to ensure scopes are identified in the IAP and executed on plan
33. Create annual budget for discipline activities in line with the facility business plan
34. Review ongoing facility spend, intervene as required and support business drivers to reduce cost and increase uptime for disciplined owned equipment
35. Approve RE expenditure in SAP via cost uploads and service entries
HSSE
36. Visibly demonstrate Safety Leadership and set clear expectations through the organisation
37. Ensure Engineering and Maintenance support are provided to the organisation to meet the mandatory Group HSSE Control Framework and local laws and regulatory requirements
38. Support the UK Upstream organisation in delivering HSSE (including Green House Gas Management) plans through prioritization of engineering and maintenance resources
Leadership
39. Is able to utilise operational expereince to set the new asset up for success by setting up rebust, evergreen processes and proceedures
40. Member of the Engineering and Maintenance Team, working toward delivery of the Operated organisation’s goals
41. Enabling Facility and Engineering and Maintenance Manager to deliver their business and HSSE outcomes
42. Role model the new leadership framework, UK Operating Model and lead the adoption through the Organisation
43. Support the successful integration with TAO for relevant Engineering & Maintenance activities
Stakeholder Management
44. Liase and support Asset Management in achieving operational status on plan
45. Engineering / Technical Lead in engagements with external parties (Regulator, Stakeholders)
46. Expected to be a Technical lead for all key vendors and contractors
47. Manage performance of technical providers (P&T, 3rd Party Engineering contractors)
Technical Assurance
48. Application of Engineering design standards to modifications and asset managed changes when required
49. Knowledge of performance standards management and SCE’s on Mechanical Static Equipment
50. Support and screen the development of deviations against SCE when required ready for TA1 review where appropriate
51. Review Z6 notifications required in role as TA2
52. Review and Comply with eMOC process for all modifications
53. Responsible to complete audits on Performance Standards and SCE compliance
54. Ensure that the correct levels of discipline competencies are maintained on the facility
Contract Management
55. Act as Contract Holder for specific contracts where appropriate
56. Provides Technical input to relevant Contract Strategies

Minimum Qualifications
62. ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) Degree in engineering discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence
