Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ambulance Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being during transit. This role requires a strong commitment to providing excellent service and adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Duties
* Operate the ambulance vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
* Ensure the ambulance is properly maintained, conducting regular checks on mechanical systems and equipment.
* Assist medical personnel in loading and unloading patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, and other team members to coordinate patient transport.
* Maintain accurate records of patient transport details, including times, locations, and any incidents that occur during transit.
* Provide support in emergency situations as required, demonstrating strong decision-making skills under pressure.
* Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the ambulance to ensure a professional environment.
Experience
* Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is an advantage.
* Previous warehouse experience may be beneficial for understanding logistical operations.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, medical staff, and team members.
