About the role
Beverley Minster C of E Primary School are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children to join our friendly and dedicated team as an apprentice Nursery Nurse who will play a vital role in supporting and assisting the teaching, learning and care of children within our school.
Working hours are from 08:30 am to 03:30 pm Monday to Friday during the school term. The role pays £17,804 per annum (based on 32.5 hours per week). This is a term‑time only fixed‑term role, valid until 31 December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate the participation and learning of pupils, individually or in small groups, helping to build confidence and self‑esteem.
* Clarify and explain instructions.
* Ensure pupils can use equipment and materials provided, including moving and handling to meet a child’s individual needs.
* Assist within identified areas such as language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/presentation, the use of ICT, social skills and EAL.
* Meet the physical needs of pupils as required whilst encouraging independence.
* Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO about individual needs.
* Develop appropriate resources to support the pupil(s).
