Our client, based in Newport, is currently recruiting for a Finance Team Leader on permanent basis.
This is a full time position and interviews are scheduled to be held late May/early June. The salary available for this role is £45,500 and experience in a service charge setting is essential.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Managing the day-to-day operations of rent and service charge processing, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
* Managing the accuracy of rent ledger records and ensure all rent accounts are reconciled and signed off in accordance with established procedures
* Monitoring and reviewing rent arrears and bad debt provisions, providing timely and accurate reporting to service delivery managers. Act as the primary contact for operational stakeholders regarding income-related matters
* Managing banking operations including direct debits, BACS payments, and income reconciliation
* Ensuring robust controls are in place for income allocation, suspense account management, and error resolution
* Line managing the Finance Officers, providing clear direction, support, and development opportunities
* Setting objectives, monitoring performance, and conducting regular appraisals
* Leading on the development and enhancement of finance systems related to income processing
Experience required:
* Experience required in Social Housing
* Experience working within a service charge setting
