Position: Integrated Resource Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield (near Normanton), UK
Daily Rate: £96 - £106 per day (Dependent on experience)
Contract: Temporary – Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEND, ensuring full access to the EYFS and Primary Curriculum.
Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans and interventions supporting academic, social, and emotional development.
Implement sensory integration techniques, communication strategies, and behaviour management techniques for children with diverse needs.
Facilitate positive interactions and social skills development through structured play and group activities.
Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children holistically.
Provide compassionate personal care, including nappy changing and assistance with toileting.
Requirements:
Relevant experience working with children with SEND, particularly in Early Years and Primary settings.
Understanding of EYFS and Primary curriculum frameworks and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with SEND.
Relevant qualifications or training, such as Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools; TEAM TEACH training desirable but not essential.
