Responsibilities
As an experienced Java Developer in BAE Systems AI, you’ll be working with international customers to enhance and maintain cutting edge national security products, and will be involved in building new capabilities. The work is fast paced and requires a willingness to step out of your comfort zone. You’ll be part of high performing agile teams, be a team player, self-motivated, take on responsibility, and contribute to team/self improvement. There will be opportunities to travel internationally a few times a year to visit deployed systems, end users and in-country support staff.
Good communication skills are a must.
Essential Skills And Experience
* You will have at least 4 years of professional software development using Java.
* Minimum 2 years developing Microservices using Spring Boot.
* Experience writing tests for existing and new code to ensure compatibility and stability.
* Experience using different types of source control (preferably Git), familiar with continuous integration, test-driven development and Agile development techniques to incrementally deliver working software.
* Ability to work well within small teams, taking ownership of and delivering high quality software.
* Apache Maven.
