We are working with a leading consultancy to recruit an experienced Driller to join their growing ground investigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in high-quality work, values safety, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a professional and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate borehole and window sampling equipment, dynamic probing tools, and other handheld or tracked systems, including Dart Mini rigs and similar small-scale rigs.
* Collect soil and groundwater samples in line with BS5930 and BS10175 standards.
* Accurately record drilling activities, sample depths, and ground conditions.
* Carry out pre-start checks and routine maintenance on rigs and equipment.
* Work closely with site engineers, geologists, and other drilling staff.
* Ensure all work meets health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Travel and stay away from home as required (expenses covered).
Requirements:
* Proven experience operating window sampling and borehole drilling rigs.
* CSCS card.
* NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling (Lead Driller) or equivalent qualification (preferred).
* Clean UK driving licence (essential).
* Strong commitment to safe working practices.
* Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
