Responsibilities
* Manage a team of software developers and support their growth and development.
* Write high-quality code and conduct peer-to-peer code reviews.
* Contribute to and follow coding standards, architectural guidelines and structure.
* Collaborate with your manager and peers to help define how we build software, scale our systems, and evolve our engineering culture.
Qualifications
* Team Leadership: Ability to lead a development team, supporting goal and growth expectations.
* SaaS: Solid understanding of the SaaS model in the online environment.
* Core Technology Experience: Proven experience in designing and building scalable, and maintainable applications using Java (Java 8+, and experience or strong desire to work with Java 21) and Spring Boot.
* AWS Expertise: Understanding and hands‑on experience with core AWS services.
* Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
* Mobile Development: Experience with native mobile app development using Swift & Java.
* Software Development Best Practices: A strong commitment to writing clean, well‑tested, secure, and maintainable code. Proficient with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
* Problem‑Solving: Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Documentation: Technical design and documentation skills.
* Inquisitive: Attention to detail and a genuine interest in technological trends.
* Experience in the FinTech or expense management industry.
* Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation.
* Knowledge of event‑driven architecture and messaging queues.
