Robert Half are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a growing management business in North Leeds, the company is going for strength to strength and is now looking to take on a new member of the team to aid throughout the month end process.
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum
Working hours - The working hours are 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the submission of monthly management accounts within contractual deadlines.
2. Responsible for the submission of Balance sheet lead schedules within contractual deadlines.
3. Responsible for ensuring P&L and Balance Sheet queries are responded to within agreed timescales.
4. Provide variance analysis and commentary by working with the sales and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting.
5. To ensure client queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
6. Production of client financial reforecasting.
7. To support with the client's Annual Statutory Audit.
8. To support in the production of the client annual property budgets.
9. To ensure Standard Operating Procedures and controls are maintained.
10. To review and implement new processes to deliver reporting and administrational efficiencies.
11. Manage a team operating within strict deadlines to comply with the Businesses standard operating procedures.
12. To develop, maximise potential, and set the team's personal objectives and ensure regular 1-2-1's.
13. Support on ad-hoc tasks and reporting.
14. To support and maintain best practice in regard to GDPR.
15. To keep up to date with industry initiatives to enable best practice to be adopted at all times.
Experience needed
16. Strong financial, analytical modelling and problem-solving skills.
17. Proven experience with spread sheets and financial programs.
18. Ability to successfully handle several priorities simultaneously, maintain composure in high pressure situations and maintain objectivity, focus and good judgment.
19. To genuinely treat all clients, students and other staff with the respect you would like to be treated and 'day to day' to engage effectively and be friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, courteous, positive and cheerful.
20. To promote a culture of continuous improvement.
21. Strong knowledge and experience in the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
22. Excellent presentation skills, attention to detail and ability to complete tasks.
23. Excellent problem solving ability
