Job Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team as a Residential Social Care Worker at Oakhurst Children's Home. This role allows you to nurture young people’s growth and wellbeing in a supportive environment.
In this role, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people feel valued, supported, and empowered. You’ll use your empathy, resilience, and positive approach to meet their needs, while helping them build confidence and thrive.
Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting.
* Meeting the physical and emotional needs of the young people.
* Engaging in activities that promote their development and well-being.
* Working collaboratively with team members to create a safe and supportive environment.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to care plans.
* Participating in shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 6 months experience working with children, young people or adults, either in a voluntary, work or other relevant setting.
* A background in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
* Demonstrates a caring and compassionate approach to working with young people.
* Resilience in handling challenging situations, both physically and emotionally.
* Strong teamwork skills, contributing positively to a collaborative environment.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of young people and the team.
