Offer description

A law enforcement organisation based in London are recruiting experienced and qualified Trainers to support the delivery of the Neighbourhood Policing Programme (NPP) to delegates within a Police Service. This Home Office–funded programme aims to professionalise Neighbourhood Policing through structured training, assessment, and the rollout of Operational Competence Portfolios (OCPs).

The NPP establishes neighbourhood policing as a recognised professional career pathway, reinforcing the essential role it plays in building trust, legitimacy, and community engagement across London’s diverse communities. All PCSOs, Neighbourhood PCs, Sergeants, and Inspectors are required to undertake the pathway.

In this role, you will act as the lead classroom trainer, supported by an internal Neighbourhood Policing Subject Matter Expert (SME). This is an initial 12-month contract based in North London (onsite) with a daily rate up to £265 per day via an Umbrella company (inside IR35) and PAYE rates are also available.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality classroom-based training for the Neighbourhood Policing Programme.
* Lead the delivery of all sessions, ensuring learning objectives are met using effective, student‑centred approaches.
* Collaborate closely with the internal Neighbourhood Policing SME to integrate operational expertise into training delivery.
* Maintain accurate attendance records and track learner progress.
* Ensure full compliance with organisational, operational, and security requirements.
* Adapt training delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles and ensure a fully engaged classroom.

Essential Requirements

* Level 4 training qualification or trained to the College of Policing TEP standard (or Level 4 equivalent in the education/training sector).
* Proven experience delivering structured, classroom-based training programmes.
* Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
* Ability to manage group dynamics effectively and create a positive learning environment.
* Fully available Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 at a central London site (no remote working).
* Willingness to undergo—and successfully pass—Police vetting before starting.
