Sales Manager – Generator Rental
Location: Midlands (field-based with regional travel)
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 + Bonus + Car + Benefits
My client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their established and growing generator rental business. This role focuses on developing and growing hire revenue across the Midlands, supplying temporary and standby power solutions to a broad customer base.
The Role
* Promote and sell generator rental and temporary power solutions to new and existing customers
* Manage and grow a defined Midlands territory
* Identify new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, construction, events, and public-sector clients
* Conduct site visits to assess power requirements and recommend suitable rental solutions
* Build strong, long-term customer relationships through consultative technical sales
* Prepare quotations, proposals, and tailored hire packages
* Work closely with operations, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery and high service levels
About You
* Proven experience in generator rental sales is essential
* Strong understanding of temporary power solutions and hire processes
* Excellent commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
* Confident engaging with site managers, facilities teams, contractors, consultants, and procurement
* Able to manage your own sales pipeline and consistently deliver against targets
* Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills
