Strategic Technology Leadership | Engineering & Manufacturing
An established engineering-led organization is seeking a Head of Engineering Systems to lead the strategic development and performance of its global engineering systems capability. This senior leadership role at the intersection of IT and Engineering aims to foster innovation, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage through PLM, simulation, and emerging digital technologies.
Reporting to the CIO, you will shape and execute a vision aligning engineering systems with product and business strategies, playing a key role in accelerating innovation, reducing complexity, and creating long-term value.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and implement the enterprise roadmap for engineering systems aligned with strategic engineering and product goals.
2. Build strong relationships with global engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment, adoption, and value delivery.
3. Lead and develop a high-performing Engineering Systems team across application support, development, and transformation.
4. Manage the lifecycle and evolution of core PLM platforms, focusing on Siemens Teamcenter and NX.
5. Promote the adoption of advanced technologies such as digital thread, AI, simulation tools, and VR to enhance product development.
6. Oversee the engineering systems budget, including licensing, resource planning, and commercial oversight.
7. Manage relationships with strategic technology vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
Candidate Profile:
1. Extensive senior leadership experience in complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
2. Deep knowledge of PLM systems, especially Siemens Teamcenter and NX, including their implementation and integration.
3. Proven ability to align IT and engineering functions to support innovation, product development, and cost efficiency.
4. Working knowledge of simulation and virtual engineering tools (e.g., Simcenter, Altair, NX VR).
5. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and third-party relationships.
6. Influential, collaborative leadership style capable of engaging stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
