Overview
Speciality Co-ordinator Critical Care. Band 7. 37.5 Hours per week with a further progression secondment opportunity. Permanent position for highly motivated, energetic and ambitious Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, who wants to make a difference and join our Critical Care Nursing Team working closely with Management team, Consultants and MDT colleagues.
You will have extensive, current experience in a level 2/3 Critical Care environment and will have completed a post graduate Critical Care Course and step 4 competencies with evidence of excellent clinical competency at a minimum of Band 6 seniority. We are looking for individuals with an outstanding clinical skillset, excellent leadership and communication skills who are able to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment. It is expected that you can provide clear evidence of patient-centred care with a keen interest in quality improvement.

Responsibilities
* You will lead, provide and supervise a very high standard of compassionate care to our patients, whilst being accountable for staffing issues and managing a large team.
* You will be supporting the safety and quality agenda of patient care and staff management, ensuring that the values and objectives of the Trust are met, whilst improving patient outcomes.
* You will support the journey of the patient from admission to discharge, identify risk and formulate actions to reduce this risk and ensure patient throughput is effective.
* You will support the Matron, Consultants and the Multi Disciplinary Team and deputise for seniors in their absence.
Department & Experience
Our Department facilitates 26 Adult beds (Level 2 and Level 3 capacity) and prides itself on being a friendly, cohesive and inclusive team supported by outstanding multidisciplinary staff. We are proud of the standards of care demonstrated by ICNARC data and performance metrics, including COVID-19 outcomes and patient experience.
Our Research Team has contributed to national studies and trials, including The National COVID-19 Studies.
We have recently merged with our neighbouring Trust and are now part of Liverpool Hospitals spanning across 3 sites serving the Merseyside population and acting as a Regional Trauma Centre for Cheshire and Merseyside. We also provide Tertiary Care for MFU and vascular specialties.
