Pharmacy Procurement and High Cost Medicines Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen within pharmacy services for a motivated individual to join our busy Pharmacy Procurement and High Cost Medicines Team. We are looking for a committed, self‑driven individual who has the ability to plan and co‑ordinate their day‑to‑day activities within our busy department.
Our pharmacy service is provided across both our acute sites in Eastbourne and Hastings and the post holder will be expected to work across site. A designated base site will be assigned – the post will have its main base at Eastbourne after the initial training period.
Responsibilities
* Plan and co‑coordinate day‑to‑day activities within the Pharmacy Procurement and High Cost Medicines Team.
* Support all activities involved in the procurement of medicines within the Trust, working closely with the Pharmacy Procurement Manager and the wider Pharmacy team to meet Trust and departmental objectives.
* Purchase medicines for direct patient use and ward supply, chase outstanding orders and source alternative products to maintain continuous supply for patients.
* Assist in processing invoices for payment of pharmaceutical products, as well as processing credit notes and claims to suppliers for monies owed to the Trust.
* Support the administration of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s contracted High Cost Medicines and Homecare services by acting as a point of contact for the homecare provider service.
* Assist with registration of patients with homecare service providers and placement of patient‑specific homecare orders.
