HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is recruiting Admin Officers to provide critical administrative support and customer service to court users, judiciary, and management. These roles are central to delivering justice by ensuring cases progress smoothly through the court and tribunal system.
There are 4 fixed-term positions (up to 12 months) available across Plymouth and Torquay, with opportunities for flexible working patterns.

Role Overview
Admin Officers play a vital role in supporting the delivery of justice. Working as part of a team, they provide administrative support, progress cases, and interact with court users including the judiciary, legal professionals, and the public.
One of the roles includes operational support with estates and IT colleagues, where prior experience in Health & Safety, Fire, or Security would be beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare papers and files for courts, tribunals, hearings, and meetings
* Create and update records on in-house systems and perform data input
* Accurately result courts and interpret information required on court files
* Check and verify documents, records, accounts, claims, and returns against regulations and procedures
* Collect and assemble information for reports, warrants, statistics, and accounts
* Communicate effectively with the public, judiciary, court users, and external agencies
* Provide operational support across sites when required
Required Skills and Experience
* Friendly and approachable manner with excellent attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to deliver proactive customer support via phone and email
* Skilled in organising time, prioritising tasks, and multi-tasking
* Adaptability to use various software packages
