Join Our Team as a Payroll Officer
Are you experienced in payroll and seeking a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity at Cornerstone for a Payroll Officer on a part-time (23.5 hours/week), permanent basis. This is a great time to join us as we implement a new HR & Payroll system.
This role can be based in Dundee, Glasgow, or Aberdeen, or as part of our hybrid working model. If you choose hybrid, you should live within a reasonable commute of the chosen location. Occasional travel to other branches for meetings and training will be required, with expenses reimbursed according to our policy and HMRC legislation.
The Role
1. Report to the Depute Payroll Lead and collaborate with Payroll Officers.
2. Manage day-to-day payroll activities, ensuring payments are compliant, accurate, and timely.
3. Serve as a main contact for colleague queries, providing excellent support to approximately 1,800 colleagues.
4. Assist in running the monthly payroll, ensuring payments are made on time and in accordance with employment legislation.
5. Ensure deductions are correctly recorded and submitted to statutory bodies within deadlines.

About You
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering comprehensive and compliant payroll and pension services, including auto-enrolment and RTI.
2. Degree or CIPP/IPPM qualification, or extensive relevant experience.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
6. Ability to manage data, create reports, and present information effectively.
