As a Plumbing & Gas Assessor, you'll work closely with apprentices and employers, supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journey. You'll assess workplace competence, provide coaching and feedback, and help apprentices progress successfully towards completion of their qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Plumbing and Heating professional with current industry knowledge and a passion for supporting others. You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Domestic Heating & Gas, alongside a current Gas Safe card. Previous assessing experience is desirable but not essential, as full CAVA training can be provided. You'll be organised, self-motivated, and confident building strong relationships with both apprentices and employers.

The role:
· Assess apprentices in the workplace against apprenticeship standards.
· Support and mentor learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.
· Provide constructive feedback and guidance to apprentices and employers.
· Conduct learner progress reviews and support evidence collection.
· Work closely with employers to maintain strong apprenticeship partnerships.
· Full assessor training and CAVA qualification provided.

The person:
· Experience within Plumbing, Domestic Heating, and Gas.
· Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Domestic Heating & Gas.
· Current Gas Safe card.
· Strong communication and organisational skills.
· Assessor qualification desirable but not essential.
· Passion for developing and supporting apprentices.
