Work life balance that works for you
Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.
The rota will include working from 7:00pm-8:15am (weeknights, 9am on Sundays). Flexible shift patterns are available.
Our practice
Chelvets is based at Dragon Vets on the Cheltenham Racecourse. We are
an air-conditioned practice with an in-house lab (including on-site blood gas analysis) and high-quality diagnostic and surgical facilities. We are fortunate to have access to on-site CT, DR and high-end ultrasonography, ECG, plus a selection of video-endoscopes. Our theatres are equipped with multiparameter monitoring (including capnography), ligasure and laparoscopic facilities. We have a staff room for relaxation on the quieter nights, plus two air-conditioned bedrooms.
Join our experienced and collaborative team
At night, you will have support from 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses and an additional 'twilight' Vet. Dragon Vets is the largest practice in Cheltenham, and we are fortunate to have around 20 vets working within the practice. Several vets are RCVS Advanced Practitioners in medicine, surgery, and cardiology, meaning that there is a wealth of experience available to team members both during the day and night. We hold clinical team meetings regularly, and there are several whole-practice social events held throughout the year.
