Main duties of the job
We are inviting applications from motivated individuals to join our team in delivering high-quality administrative support for outpatient bookings. The successful applicant will undertake a range of tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient management of outpatient appointments. This includes the use of the electronic Referral System (eRS) and effective coordination of clinic schedules.
The post holder will be expected to work in line with Government Access Targets, ensuring the accurate administration of patients' pathways. Duties will include collecting and inputting vital data into computerised systems, while ensuring all patient information is kept accurate and up-to-date.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Previous administrative/clerical experience
2. Knowledge of patient record systems/databases with proven experience
3. Excellent keyboard and IT skills, including experience of maintaining and administering databases
4. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently
5. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and professional approach at all levels
6. Dependable, with a flexible attitude to work and the ability to adapt to service needs
Desirable:
7. Knowledge of the NHS 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathway
8. Previous experience within healthcare services
