Inpatient CAMHS Occupational Therapist (Rotational)

Hello, my name is Jon and I am the AHP Professional Lead for Inpatient CAMHS. I am delighted to share with you the opportunity for you to join our Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation within our inpatient services. This opportunity has arisen following the promotion of one of our staff to a B6 position in Mental Health.
The rotation model offers you the experience of working within a variety of different inpatient setting whilst developing core and specialist OT skills. Each rotation will be 9 months in duration with the rotational posts available within:
* Bluebird House (Medium Secure)
* Austen House (Low Secure)
* Austen House (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit)
Within each unit you will be part of a wider Occupational Therapy team and skilled multidisciplinary team. You will be supported by our Advance Clinical Practitioner OT and the other Occupational Therapist in order to have plenty of opportunities to develop across all 4 pillars of professional practice. Throughout the 2 year rotation you will take part in a certified leadership programme and mentored through your OT competencies.

You will be expected to:
* Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
* Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the occupational therapy services within a designated area / team.
* Regularly supervise occupational therapy students on practice placement.
* Develop skills and knowledge through participation in relevant training & learning opportunities.
