Electrical Estimator Quantity Surveyor at RECRUITMENT HELPLINE LTD
Excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical estimator/quantity surveyor to join a well‑established construction company based in Swindon.

We work on varied projects across many sectors, including retail, hospitality and leisure. We also specialise in airport projects, undertaking installation, testing, commissioning and proactive/reactive maintenance across all UK airports, particularly Heathrow.
Role Overview
This role is based at our head office in Swindon, with occasional travel to sites around the UK, typically in the south of England.
Key Responsibilities
* Estimate new electrical enquiries, obtain prices from suppliers, and prepare and submit tenders.
* Conduct site surveys and attend tender interviews as required.
* Work with the Project Manager to ensure material orders are placed on time and in line with the tender.
* Attend relevant meetings with clients, PQS, CA and other client representatives during the project, providing updates on contractual and financial issues as required.
* Issue payment or pay‑less notices for larger projects in line with contract requirements.
* Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
Experience & Qualifications
* At least 5 years of experience pricing commercial electrical projects.
* Excellent technical knowledge of electrical installations, ideally from experience as an electrician.
* Commercially astute with the ability to estimate costs and timescales accurately and meet tender return deadlines.
* Competent computer and data‑handling skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
