Job Summary
Senior Clinical Fellow Urology – 12 months
This is an exciting opportunity that is ideally suited to a senior fellow level trainee who wants to gain more clinical experience with a chance to develop research and quality improvement skills. This is a replacement post and previous successful applicants have gone onto the specialist register via the CESR route.

Working Pattern
Full-time, fixed term, 12 months
Salary
£65,048 to £73,992 a year per annum pro rata if part time
Main Duties
* Dedicated 1:1 teaching in outpatients, video‑urodynamics, theatres and endoscopy.
* Contribute to the urology on‑call rota at a middle grade level – current commitments: one Saturday 24‑hour on‑call every five weeks.
* FRCS holders may join the consultant on‑call rota after a period of probation.
Qualifications and Specialist Training
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
* MRCS
* FRCS (Urol)
* NHS experience (no clinical attachments)
Experience / Clinical Skills
* Evidence of wide experience and high competence in urology
* Appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgement – demonstrates clear, logical, analytical approach
* Knowledge and application of up‑to‑date evidence‑based practice
* Ability to undertake flexible cystoscopy
* Ability to undertake trans‑perineal prostate biopsies independently
Management Experience
* Effective team member, able to motivate and develop staff within a multidisciplinary team
