SEN Behaviour Mentor – Durham
Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEN Behaviour Mentors for Durham schools. £90 to £110 per day. Long term placements (term by term), temp to perm opportunities, or day to day supply depending on what you want.
What you'll be doing:
Mentoring students with SEMH or behavioural challenges. Leading restorative sessions and promoting conflict resolution. Supporting behaviour plans and risk assessments. Providing structured support during unstructured times (break, lunch) when things often go wrong. Liaising with teachers, SENCOs and parents.
You need:
* Enhanced Child Only DBS (essential)
* Experience in youth work, counselling, or behaviour mentoring (highly desirable)
* Driving licence preferred (widens your placement options)
* Ability to build rapport with students who push boundaries
* Patience, resilience, and genuine understanding of SEMH needs
Contract options:
* Long term placements (term by term)
* Temp to perm if it's the right fit
* Day to day supply if you want flexibility
Pay: £90 to £110 per day
Location: Durham schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
