This is an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our integrated health and social care OT team on a 1 year fixed term contract.
This post will be based in the community. You will work closely with the wider Lochaber Occupational Therapy Team which includes Social Work and Adult Social Care, providing high quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention plans and rehab demonstrating complex clinical decision-making skills, monitoring, and improving professional standards. You will be working with a wide range of patients in a variety of settings and will require experience in rehab and aids and adaptations.
The Service provides inpatient assessment and intervention, and the post holder may have the opportunity to work on the wards to cover leave periods.
You will be expected to act independently to provide a full comprehensive service of assessment, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team and have opportunities to supervise Occupational Therapy staff. Regular supervision is provided (including peer supervision opportunities) and opportunities for ongoing professional development are encouraged.
A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is required as is current HCPC registration.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations and patient residences, so a full current driving license is essential.
