The Position
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a highly impactful support role? Would you like to work with a team of experts to make a tangible difference across high-profile customer accounts where what you do truly matters?
This Field Service Engineer position supports customers in the Central East region of the UK (e.g., Derby, Nottingham, and Lincoln). You will join a proactive and dedicated team of specialists within Applications, Information Solutions, and Engineering, delivering a whole-solution approach to provide exceptional customer support.
The Opportunity
As part of our team, you will deliver comprehensive technical and operational support for cutting-edge medical diagnostic equipment in a 7-day service model.
Responsibilities
* Implementation and Support: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Roche’s diagnostic equipment across NHS/University labs and private service providers
* Proactive Maintenance: Engaging in planned preventative maintenance, paired with real-time troubleshooting and repairs to ensure operational excellence
* Customer Training and Collaboration: Enhancing customer confidence through training sessions and consultative services
* Reactive and Analytical Support: Fault diagnosis, technical reviews, and administrative duties to build efficiency and reliability in customer operations
* Relationship Building: Acting as a Roche Diagnostics ambassador with professionalism to foster trust-based, long-term partnerships with customers
Who you are
We’re looking for resilient, resourceful, and customer-focused individuals who thrive in a high-paced, evolving environment. Ideal candidates will bring the following:
* A qualification equivalent to HNC/HND or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
* A strong track record in servicing high-value capital equipment
* Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with technical, scientific, and numeric data
* Customer-first mindset: A confident, professional demeanor, paired with the ability to foster productive relationships and navigate complex environments effectively
* Demonstrated ability to excel within multi-disciplinary teams, delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs
