You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging teaching across the Care To Lead programme which is related to residential childcare. The programme is designed to support staff already working in the sector to develop the management skills needed to become a team leader. You will plan, prepare, and assess learning activities and support learners to achieve their goals.
Additionally, you will:
Support curriculum development aligned with Rochdale and Greater Manchester priorities
Engage with residential childcare providers and sector partners for curriculum input and placements
Deliver safeguarding and pastoral support embedded within college structures
Monitor learner progress, attendance, and achievement, with early intervention where needed

The role requires a suitably qualified and experienced professional with a strong background in the relevant subject area. Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive subject knowledge, an understanding of current educational initiatives, and a creative, innovative approach to developing teaching materials.
Intermediate IT skills are essential, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Desirable skills include familiarity with learner management systems, student record systems, virtual learning environments and e-learning platforms.
