This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and growing team that provides advice and support to clients across Wales in regard to Inquests. As a senior lawyer, you will be a key member of the team, supervising others and delivering training while providing high‑quality legal services to our NHS clients. The role involves managing your own caseload of complex Inquest matters and conducting advocacy.
Legal and Risk Services are looking for an experienced Inquest solicitor capable of working with minimum supervision. Candidates should align with the values of the NHS in Wales, be open and transparent about inquest investigations, and help ensure lessons are learned.
The post is suitable for solicitors, barristers, or legal executives with experience in mental health and clinical negligence, and with advocacy in multi‑day Article 2 inquests before juries.
As a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to train, mentor and professionally supervise more junior members.
