Our client seeks Siemens D11 Authorised Technicians for endoscopy main bearing duties. You will be a specialised technical lead responsible for the high-precision internal inspection of wind turbine main bearings. The campaign begins in early March and is North Sea based.
Job Purpose
To perform advanced endoscopic inspections of Siemens D11-platform main bearings, identifying early signs of wear, contamination, or mechanical failure to prevent unplanned shutdowns and high-cost catastrophic damage.
Key Responsibilities
* Advanced Endoscopy. Conduct internal visual inspections of main bearings using high-definition industrial endoscopes to identify cracks, pitting, mechanical scars, or corrosion.
* Generate detailed inspection reports, including high-quality imagery and diagnostic recommendations, and log all findings.
* Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within the turbine.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
* Must hold Siemens Level 4 or Siemens Gamesa Technical Training (SGTT) certification.
* Successful completion of the Main Bearing Endoscopy (D11) training module and subsequent supervised sign-off.
* Valid GWO, basic safety training, offshore medical clearance, and a Chester Step Test certificate.
