Masterclass Education are working with a local, wonderful mainstream primary School who are looking for a Team Teach trained Teaching Support Assistant to work with a year 1 child who has challenging behaviour. The school is a fantastic place to work with the students making each day unique!
As a Teaching Support Assistant, the successful candidate will be working with a child 1:1 who displays challenging behaviour. You would be working either within formal lessons with the support of the teacher, or outside the classroom. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.
Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.
Job role:
* To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
* Support and encourage positive behaviour management
* Work with an individual (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
* Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling pupils to feel relaxed and happy
* To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
* To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
* To be able to provide personal care if needed
