Job Title: Electrician – Contract (12 Months)
Location– Tadley, near Reading
Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Electricians to support a 12-month M&E fit-out project on a series of modern office blocks.
This is a contract-based position, ideal for reliable and professional tradespeople. Work will be site-based, and due to limited public transport in the area, driving is essential.
* Start Date: Subject to successful clearance and induction
Responsibilities:
* Carry out all aspects of electrical installation and fit-out work on-site
* Work collaboratively with other M&E professionals and contractors
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and project specifications
* Complete installation and commissioning of electrical systems
* Follow site instructions and adhere to project deadlines
Essential Requirements:
* ECS Gold Card (Electrician level)
* IPAF & PASMA certifications
* Own hand tools (including drills, drivers, etc.)
* DBS check (to be completed before start)
* Eligibility for BPSS clearance (Baseline Personnel Security Standard)
* Safety Critical Medical & Drug & Alcohol test (must be passed prior to site entry)
* Ability to drive to site (no public transport available nearby)
* Must pass a Trade Test as part of site induction
Preferred Attributes:
* Previous experience on large commercial or M&E fit-out projects
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
