Year 4 Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover (Full Time) Bournemouth Start Date: April 2026 Paid to Scale We are delighted to be supporting one of our wonderful mainstream primary schools in Bournemouth in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover contract, starting April 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a Year 4 class within a welcoming, supportive school that values high-quality teaching, collaboration and pupil wellbeing. The Role As the Year 4 class teacher, you will take full responsibility for the class and play a key role in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences. The role will include: Planning and delivering creative and engaging Year 4 lessons in line with the national curriculum Assessing pupil progress and completing marking in line with school policy Supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally Attending parents’ evenings, staff meetings and relevant school meetings Working closely with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who is: A qualified Primary Teacher with QTS Confident in teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4 Passionate, committed and enthusiastic about teaching Strong in behaviour management and classroom organisation A positive team player with excellent communication skills ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
