Red Snapper Recruitment is seeking a Mental Health Criminal Justice Key Worker to join an award-winning charity supporting women and girls across Yorkshire and Humberside.
Team Details
* Team: WY Criminal Justice Team
* Base: Leeds
* Grade: £28,266 per annum
* Hours: 37 per week
* Leave: 25 days increasing to 30 days with service, plus public holidays
Applicants must have Level 1 probation vetting completed within the last 24 months in West Yorkshire.
Role Summary
In our gender-specific centres, we provide holistic, women-led support to help women overcome challenges and barriers, enabling them to achieve their potential. The Key Worker will engage with women on Probation, supporting issues related to wellbeing, mental health, accommodation, finances, employment, family, social inclusion, and recovery. The role involves working across West Yorkshire, supporting women through mental health pathways, and collaborating with external mental health organizations.
This position requires flexible working, including office-based, community delivery, and working from multiple locations. Support may also be provided in custody settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of women, providing high-quality support tailored to individual needs.
* Assist women in identifying needs and supporting them with a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.
* Deliver outreach support to reluctant or vulnerable women, helping them comply with court or prison license requirements.
* Accompany women to appointments and act as their advocate.
* Facilitate therapeutic group activities.
* Review and monitor progress with other practitioners and support plans.
* Promote the programme within the community using branded materials.
* Support community resource access and develop sustainable support networks.
* Work within an integrated care model involving health, criminal justice, and social care professionals.
* Safeguard vulnerable women per policies and legislation.
* Gather feedback to improve service quality.
