Exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in the dynamic world of B2B events. As a Trainee Sales Executive, you’ll learn the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship building to closing deals, while working on high-quality conferences and exhibitions. You will be selling delegate passes and sponsorship packages to senior decision-makers across the Oil & Gas and New energy industries. Over the years the business has grown to serve thousands of customers every year across 8 international events held across Europe, North America the Middle East, and Asia. Committed to providing the best experience. Key Responsibilities * Prospecting & Lead Generation – Research and identify potential delegates and sponsors within target markets. * Outbound Sales – Engage prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to promote event participation. * Relationship Building – Develop rapport with clients, understanding their needs to offer tailored event solutions. * Sales Cycle Management – Support the sales process from initial contact through to contract completion. * Collaboration – Working directly with the Sales/Event Directors and event production teams to align sales strategies with event goals. * Reporting – Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales updates to management What’s on Offer * Comprehensive training programme covering sales techniques, negotiation, and industry knowledge. * Clear progression path into senior sales or account management roles. * Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. * Opportunity to attend and network at live events. * Opportunity for some remote working Skills & Attributes * Good communication skills, personable, particularly face to face * A knowledge of or interest in general business issues * Confident on the phone and comfortable speaking with senior professionals * Good communication skills both verbal and written * Self-motivated and determined with a strong sense of personal initiative * Organised, with good time management * A quick learner * Good attention to detail * A team player * Calm under pressure * Competence in Microsoft Office and keen to embrace and learn to use new technology and IT systems automated marketing and CRM systems * Eagerness to learn about the conference/events industry and all it represents * Available to travel if needed
