About the Occupational Health Technician role:
We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Occupational Health Technician to join our HR Team at the Workington Mill reporting to the HR Business Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on site 4 days a week within a supportive and proactive environment, where your work will directly contribute to the health, wellbeing, and safety of our employees.
Key Responsibilities include:
Responsible for arranging and conducting health surveillance such as audiometry, spirometry, vision testing
Provide support to employees within the workplace and provide assistance to access further services
Carry out drug and alcohol screening in accordance with policy
Lead health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
Maintain accurate, confidential health records in line with data protection regulations
Assist with health risk assessments and reporting
Provide reporting and data to the business in alignment with the role
Coordinate annual flu vaccination campaign and other proactive health campaigns
Work closely with the HSE Manager to ensure a safe environment for employees
Provide support to Occupational Health Advisor as required
Qualifications & Experience:
We welcome applicants with demonstratable experience in a medical or healthcare setting. You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, good IT literacy and attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively. Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health are desirable but not essential. Training will be provided for the successful candidate.
