BCNO combines The European School of Osteopathy and The British College of Naturopathy & Osteopathy. We provide osteopathic degree programmes.
We are seeking an experienced Admissions Officer to manage the end-to-end student application process to the Kent BSc (Hons) degree programme. This includes, but is not limited to, working with the Marketing team to develop and participate in an appropriate recruitment strategy to generate volume and optimise application success e.g Open Days, careers' events, and prospective student experience programmes; managing the interview/selection and process and undertaking all required associated administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities:
* Maintain and regularly update records to ensure an accurate record of each student's application process in accordance with regulatory and GDPR requirements.
* Provide guidance to prospective students on the application process and its requirements, together with advice to international students on visa requirements.
* Manage the interview and selection process including co-ordination of a team of faculty interviewers, annually reviewing the interview questions, grading structure and participate, where necessary, in interviews.
* Coordinate the enrolment process of new students at the commencement of the academic year.
* Partner with the Marketing team to develop a recruitment strategy and calendar of activities/events to generate volume applications.
* Prepare all necessary materials to aid student recruitment.
* Actively participate in events both internal and external aimed at attracting student applications, and co-ordinate attendance of other employees.
* Monitor the Admissions' website pages to ensure they remain current, visually attractive, and accurately support admissions' requirements. Collaborate with the Marketing team on any required changes/amendments.
* Manage and disseminate information about entry requirements published on BCNO, Plymouth University and UCAS websites.
* Advise on finance matters such as tuition fee loan applications, eligibility etc.
* Manage and report on Admissions data and application profiles to SMT, University's Annual Programme Monitoring Report and GOsC Annual Report
* Review all applications submitted via UCAS.
* Make offer decisions in-line with the Admissions Policy and process accordingly.
* Manage the clearing process in particular on A-level results day.
* Act as main point of contact for UCAS.
* Attend Marketing Committee meetings when agenda items are looking at developing programme marketing material.
* Manage the process of reviewing the prospectus, consulting with appropriate members of staff and working with the Marketing team to produce the definitive version.
* Initiate contact with local schools to raise BCNO's profile
* Establish and maintain relationships with careers' advisors/organisations in Kent.
* Ensure BCNO is compliant in all aspects of UKVI legislation.
* International requirements re CAS/VISA ILETS understanding, completing CAS advising students checking student finances, English language status etc.
* Work with academic team APL/RPL mapping to ensure university regulations are maintained
* Working with UoP and documentation needed for university requirements for HESA
* Work with academic team on enrolment
* Organise bridging course
About you
* Previous experience in an Admissions' role in Higher Education (essential)
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with grades A to C (essential)
* Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) (essential)
* Good communication skills, oral and written
* Effective project management skills coupled with the ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to analyse and report on data
* Adaptable approach to changing and sometimes conflicting demands
* Strong work ethic and sense of pride in work
* Friendly, personable and welcoming
* Good team-player with an awareness of when and how to support colleagues
