About the service Progressive Independence is opening a 4-bed supported accommodation home in Rhostyllen for young people aged 1617. We provide safe, structured support that builds independence, resilience and practical life skills. Regulation & oversight: CIW registration is not required for this service. Oversight is provided by Wrexham Council and Progressive Independences internal Quality Assurance team. We also align with the Ofsted Supported Accommodation Standards (England, 2023) to ensure consistent, high-quality practice. The role As a Support Worker, you will: Build positive, trusting relationships with young people. Support education, training, employment and community participation. Promote independence (budgeting, cooking, self-care and daily living skills). Safeguard in line with Wrexham Council guidance and company policies. Contribute to support plans, risk assessments, keywork records and reports. Complete health & safety checks and support safe daily routines. Work flexibly across a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. What youll bring Essential Experience supporting children/young people (supported accommodation or residential desirable). Calm, resilient, adaptable; strong teamwork and communication. Commitment to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) within 12 months (funded). Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and suitable references. Desirable Level 3 already achieved / interest in Level 4 progression. Full UK driving licence. Salary & benefits £33,152 £34,342 (DOE) £60 per sleep-in. Fully funded training & qualifications (Level 3 and Level 4 progression).
