Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Health and Safety / First Aid Trainer to join our growing training division. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality training courses both at our training centre and on client sites, supporting organisations in developing a strong and positive safety culture within their workplace.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced trainer to work with a diverse range of clients and sectors, supported by a dedicated and professional team.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver accredited and in-house Health and Safety and First Aid training courses to clients nationwide.
· Ensure all training is delivered in accordance with company standards, awarding body requirements, and relevant legislation.
· Adapt content and delivery style to meet the needs and experience levels of each audience.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation, training standards, and best practice.
· Assist in the design and development of new course materials, resources, and assessments.
· Provide constructive feedback to delegates and complete all associated documentation accurately.
· Represent OJ Health and Safety Solutions Ltd in a professional and approachable manner at all times.
· Support the wider consultancy team by identifying client training needs and promoting relevant courses.
· Support the growth of the training division by identifying new business opportunities and promoting OJ's training services.
Requirements
· Minimum three years of experience delivering Health and Safety and/or First Aid training.
· Recognised training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, CertEd, or equivalent).
· Valid First Aid at Work instructor qualification or equivalent.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage learners of all levels.
· Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
· Minimum two years' experience working within the construction industry.
· Hold a SMSTS, or equivalent qualification.
Preferred
· Experience delivering first aid and health and safety accredited courses.
· Assessor qualification (e.g., Level 3 Education and Training).
· Experience creating course materials or e-learning content.
· NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
· Experience supporting the marketing and promotion of training or consultancy services, including social media, email campaigns, or client communications.
