We are proud to working alongside our client, a well-established national organisation with their search for a Yard Person / Shunter Driver to be based on site in Leicester
What does the role involve?
* To supervise the day-to-day running of all aspects of the yard of the haulage company
* To teach best practice into all members the yard team
* To monitor and manage the performance to optimum levels of all yard staff
* To ensure all product / Vehicles is always correctly positioned, well presented and accessible
* Signing/Checking All Deliveries
* Ensuring Excellent Housekeeping In Yard/Workshop Area.
* Security / Gatehouse Duties ( Signing visitors in and out band directing accordingly)
* Completing site inductions for Haulers
* Traffic Management
* General Yard coordinator house keeping
* Implementing site safety rules and reporting incidents to Supervisor
* Carry out Shunting work of vehicles within the yard
Your Experience
* Knowledge of HGV vehicles would be ideal as the role involves visual checks on Vehicles
* Experience within a supervisory role will be ideal but not essential
* Experience of HGV Driving is essential
* Successful candidates must possess a minimum of an HGV Class 2 Licence
* Can multi-Task and prioritise duties.
