Overview
This is a great opportunity to join a busy and developing haematology cancer service. You will be well supported by the haematology Multi Disciplinary team as we build the expert Nurse / Clinical Practitioner service. You will be required to work in a team of Nurse / Clinical Practitioner Specialists across both Eastbourne and Hastings.
Responsibilities
* Support cancer patients throughout their pathway from referral to treatment.
* Work in a team of Nurse / Clinical Practitioners and a wider team of allied health care professionals.
* Deal with competing demands on time, being empathetic, flexible and analytical in practice.
* Explore the extent of the role, delivering care autonomously within an outpatient setting.
Qualifications
* Interest and understanding of cancer patient care and ability to work autonomously.
* Willingness to explore the extent of the role with opportunity to deliver care autonomously.
* Suitable for applicants who do not yet meet the full knowledge and skills required for the qualified Band 7 Haematology‑Nurse / Clinical Practitioner. This can be offered as a training post under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change.
