Product Liability – Solicitor / Associate – Up to £85,000 - London

The successful individual will work alongside experienced Partners on large-scale, multi-party product liability and coverage claims, often exceeding £1 million in value, while managing their own portfolio of cases. This role combines technical legal work with strong client engagement, training delivery and opportunities for long term career growth.
The Role
* Assist Partners with high-value, complex product liability and coverage disputes
* Manage your own caseload independently from instruction through to resolution
* Prepare draft advices and bespoke coverage opinions for insurer clients
* Conduct detailed investigations into liability, causation and quantum issues
* Draft pleadings, applications and other court documentation
* Liaise directly with clients, Counsel and expert witnesses
* Attend client meetings, mediations and strategy sessions
* Participate in training workshops, client seminars and business development initiatives
The Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor or FILEX with previous defendant product liability or insurance litigation experience
* Sound understanding of the Consumer Protection Act 1987, negligence, contract, property law and insurance coverage issues
* Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet chargeable hour targets
* Strong drafting, analytical and research skills
* Confidence handling cases independently and contributing to complex team matters
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with insurer and corporate clients
* Experience supervising junior fee earners or interest in developing leadership skills
* Proactive approach to business development and client relationship management
