Overview

Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s largest providers of residential addiction treatment services, specialising in drug and alcohol rehab, detox, and mental health support. With an extensive portfolio of CQC-regulated treatment centres, they are dedicated to providing people struggling with addiction with safe, structured, and compassionate residential treatment options in the UK.

Together, we are seeking an Addictions Therapist to join a small, specialist residential rehabilitation service in Luton. This unit provides intensive support to clients with primarily alcohol-related addiction presentations within a more homely, private-client focused environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated therapist to join a close-knit clinical team, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions and supporting clients through the early stages of recovery in a structured residential setting.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based treatment programmes, supporting clients through detox and rehabilitation, and contributing to relapse prevention and aftercare planning.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver structured 1:1 therapy sessions and group interventions to adults in residential rehab
* Support clients with drug and alcohol dependency, trauma, and co-occurring mental health needs
* Facilitate evidence-based interventions including CBT, relapse prevention, and motivational approaches
* Contribute to holistic recovery planning, including aftercare and discharge support
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, and support staff
* Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning and risk management

Requirements

* Minimum Level 4 counselling qualification
* BACP registration essential (or equivalent body such as NCPS or UKCP considered)
* Experience in counselling or psychotherapy (addictions experience desirable but not essential)
* Strong background in mental health and/or trauma work
* Ability to work effectively in a structured, residential clinical environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, resilient, and recovery-focused approach

Benefits

* Supportive Personal Development Plan
* Opportunities for training, development, and career progression
* Birthday Off
* Company pension scheme
* On-site parking
* Blue Light Card discounts at thousands of retailers
* BUPA wellness programme
* Employee of the Month (£100 voucher)
* Employee appreciation days and awards
