Summary
Our client, a large Lloyds Insurance Broker, has an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Insurance Broker to join their team in the Hitchin, Herts office. The role involves servicing the insurance needs of customers, ensuring documents are obtained and dispatched promptly, and resolving issues efficiently.
Main Duties:
* Support management and colleagues across the company.
* Develop a thorough understanding of insurance basics, principles, and the broking market.
* Answer telephone calls promptly and handle inquiries professionally.
* Manage client inquiries and communicate via phone and email with clients, insurers, and third parties.
* Generate correspondence for clients, insurers, and third parties.
* Notify insurers of changes and new coverages.
* Obtain and submit completed client documentation to insurers.
* Process, check, and dispatch policy documents to clients.
* Handle mid-term adjustments and renewals.
* Update records with changes or amendments.
* Pursue outstanding renewal premiums.
* Create new policy records for new risks.
Key Skills Required:
* Achieved 3 A-Levels (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
* At least 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above).
* Strong IT skills.
* Effective time management.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* High attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information:
* Permanent role based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
* Salary: £21,000.
