Rough sleeping and homelessness is a big challenge for Oxford and neighbouring Oxfordshire Districts. We are looking for someone with drive and passion to help us make a difference in this area. We are working closely with partners across Oxfordshire to transform the outcomes for people experiencing rough sleeping and homelessness. In, Oxford City Council, together with commissioning partners, commissioned a range of services to tackle rough sleeping and homelessness on a countywide basis, which is being delivered by an alliance of providers – Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance. We are looking for someone with experience of data analysis, and data base management and maintenance, to join our team and play a lead role in developing a countywide approach to help us introduce a data-led approach to help support the transformation of these services.
Together with commissioniong partners, we are looking to procure a new database that will be used by the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance to capture key data that will help us better understand what drives homelessness and rough sleeping, and use these insights to improve service delivery and outcomes. The new data base will be used to manage, monitor and report on services commissioned under the Alliance. It will also be essential to ensue that resources are used in the best way to provide high quality personalised support that will enable individuals to gain and sustain permanent housing.
As the Data Analyst, you will support the procurement and implementation of this data base.You will also be responsible for the ongoing system administration and be the main point of contact for the data base provider, as well as those using the data base. This will include delivering traning sessions for those using the system. You will also lead on the collection and reporting of a range of monitoring information and data from service providers, other data relating to rough sleeping and homelessness across the county, and support with the collecation and submission of data to central governement. You will also play a key role in analysing and interpreting data and report this to a range of partners to help inform service development and funding bids.
With seven commissioning organisations and six commissioned providers directly involved in this work, as well as multiple other stakeholders, you will be effective at forming productive working relationships across organisations. You will have good technical skills in relation to system administration and data management along with strong organisational skills and a proven ability to analyse and interpret data and write reports.
