A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Planning Validation Technicians team. You will support the Planning service in validating planning applications and other functions, as well as guiding customers to ensure the service meets statutory obligations.
The postholder will be expected to attend our offices at least two days a week, with the possibility of home working on other days after comprehensive training.

About the Role:
Join our team as a Planning Technician, supporting our Business Support operations by validating planning applications and supporting service functions. You will monitor performance, adapt to legislative changes, and participate in training to stay compliant.
You will develop skills in workload management, team support, time management, problem solving, and service evaluation. Collaboration with the Systems Support Officer to improve systems and processes is also expected.
Requirements:
* 2 A levels or equivalent experience
* Experience within local government and planning
* Excellent computer skills
* Ability to interpret plans
* Self-motivated and proactive
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills

The role involves travel across Cheshire East as needed. It is a full-time position (5 days/week).
