The Role:
Lecturer across undergraduate levels for the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility required to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Your accounting and finance expertise can ignite a passion for learning and make an impact that lasts a lifetime.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
* Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You:
* Hold a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the UK or equivalent. PhD desirable.
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit, or similar).
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Maintain accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records.
* Work under pressure, prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable:
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Full qualification from PSRB's such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA.
